Aims & Scope

In order to promote the hermeneutical approach of IBS and make it known and serviceable to both the church and academy, JIBS appears twice a year (January and July) with articles in the following areas (listed in no order of priority):

The History of IBS
Discussions of Hermeneutical and Methodological Issues surrounding IBS
The Interaction of IBS with other Methods and Approaches
Exemplary or Exploratory Work in IBS directed to selected Portions of Scripture
Strategies for employing IBS in Ecclesial and Other Educational Settings
