Main text: The OT/HB in a standard, modern translation suitable for study purposes. I have recommended The HarperCollins Study Bible (NRSV), eds. W. Meeks et al. (New York: HarperCollins, 1993). Another excellent translation is Tanakh: The Holy Scriptures: The ew JPS Translation According to the Traditional Hebrew Text (Philadelphia: The Jewish Publication Society, 5748/1988).
