The Repairer was a radical holiness periodical published by E. E. Shelhamer (1869-1947) out of Atlanta, Georgia in the early to mid twentieth century. Shelhamer was a Free Methodist Church clergyman and Holiness evangelist, who, along with his Holiness evangelist wife Julia Arnold Shelhamer, promoted temperance, marital purity, conservative dress, and healthful living. The Shelhamers, and others related to The Repairer were opposed to popular entertainments including the reading of novels. They were prolific writers, producing numerous articles, pamphlets, and tracts, and influential figures in the Holiness Movement around the globe. The Repairer is an essential periodical in the Radical Holiness movement that captures the movement's ethos superbly.
