Published from 1905 to 1910, this journal was the main voice for the Epworth Evangelistic Institute of St. Louis, Missouri. The Epworth Evangelistic Institute was a school for Methodist Deaconesses founded by Iva Durham Vennard before her more well-known Chicago Evangelistic Institute. Inasmuch is a rare periodical documenting some of the earliest official work done by women in ministry in the Methodist Church. It also documents the early work of Iva Vennard, one of the most important women of the Holiness Movement in the 20th century from early in her ministry.
