Biography

Jacob DeShazer, 1912-2008, was one of the Doolittle raiders that bombed the Japanese mainland in the early months of World War two. Captured by the Japanese he spent the rest of the war in a prison camp. During that time he recommitted his life to Christ. After the war DeShazer returned to Japan as a missionary for the Free Methodist Church for more than thirty years. This recording chronicles his experiences as an airman, as a prisoner of war, and his coversion. It was delivered on the eve of his departure for his first term of missionary service in Japan.
