The Advent message entitled, We have seen His glory, was delivered by Frank Bateman Stanger.
The concert was presented by Asbury Theological Seminary in cooperation with Wilmore Churches, the Wesleyan Seminary Foundation, and the John Wesley Seminary Foundation. Musical performances by the Asbury Seminary Chorus, assisted by the Male Ensemble and the Brass Choir. Speakers include: Clyde E. Van Valin, Kenneth Gooden, Charles E. Mount, David A. Seamands, Howard McIlrath, Cromwell Cleveland, Don Crutcher, and Robert A. Traina.
Music performed includes: The Coventry carol (English, 1591), Of the Father's love begotten (13th century plainsong), Lo, how a rose e'er blooming (Praetorius), Ding dong merrily on high (French, 15th century) / arranged and directed by Charles Kipp, The Brass Choir -- Glory to God (J.S. Bach) / Male Ensemble -- Hail to the Lord's anointed (hymn) -- Jesus is born (Young) -- What child is this (Old English, arr. Stickles) -- Gloria (Antonio Vivaldi) / The Seminary Chorus, soloists: Lucile Carruth and Tedi Reynolds -- Come now savior of mankind (J.S. Bach) -- Angels we have heard on high (hymn) -- Joy to the world (Handel) -- Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (J.S. Bach)
