Summary

This service commemorates the Centennial of the ending of the United States Civil War on April 9, 1865. It is intended to be a service of "healing love" that gives the opportunity to "more completely confess our sins as individuals and as a nation, and thus give rise to the hope of being drawn closer to God, closer to each other, for the fulfilling of our mission to the world in the days of destiny that lie ahead."
