Bettie Morrison: 3rd wife of 1st President of Asbury Theological Seminary, Henry Clay Morrison. Also known affectionately as Auntie Bettie by students then. Bettie Morrison Apartments - for young couples with no children - is named in her honor. After President Morrison passed away, she officiated the inauguration of the construction of the Administration Building on 23 October 1945 in honor of the dreams for the expansion of the Seminary that her husband had. She suffered a heart attack just three days after this ground breaking ceremony. She passed away of on 8 November 1945. This photo hangs on a wall of the 1st Floor of Bettie Morrison Apartments just inside the entrance facing North Lexington Avenue that separates Asbury College and Asbury Theological Seminary.
